Southwestern College authorities have issued an all clear and have ended the lockdown at Southwestern College’s Chula Vista campus. The report of an active shooter situation at the US Navy Medical Center in Balboa Park from earlier this morning was unfounded. PLNU officials monitored the situation and no PLNU campus was ever in danger. No further updates.

San Diego Police Department has confirmed that the suspect in the shooting on Tarento Drive from earlier this morning is now in custody. No further updates are expected.
A domestic disturbance in a neighborhood close to campus at approx. 3am on Friday morning has resulted in the deaths of at least two non campus persons. Police have indicated there is no need to lock down the campus as there are no suspects outstanding at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation.
